My favorite aspect since we started family pizza night earlier this year is the creativity it empowers. For some of our favorite pizzas we've pulled random ingredients out of the fridge and made a pizza we otherwise wouldn't have had. Last night was one of those culinary epiphanies!
We had some leftover Trader Joe's Buffalo Chicken Dip from our Halloween party. My wife was looking through the fridge and suggested we use the leftover dip in a pizza. Brilliant! We loaded up the pizza with a healthy layer of the Buffalo Chicken Dip then finished the toppings with some olive oil, chopped red onions and mild banana peppers.
The result was delicious! Complete game-changer. Never would have thought pizza dough was a better pairing for buffalo chicken dip than chips!
Definitely going to make this again. What I love about making pizza at home is we don't know what other fantastic discoveries we'll make next week!
